bio
Born in lovely Perth, Western Australia,
I currently make my home in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I served as a content developer and information architect for
both Computer Associates and iXL.
Before the dotcom (dotbomb?) revolution, I was Communications
Coordinator for the South Carolina Organ Procurement Agency, Inc.
I have also written book, art, and music reviews, as well as feature
articles and award-winning fiction.
In 2002, I helped Wachovia
develop their new intranet site after that company merged with
First Union Bank to become the fourth largest bank in the United
States. In 2004 I began working full time at Wachovia as an Assistant Vice President in the Interactive Design Group.
I earned degrees in both
broadcast journalism and English. I also studied political journalism
at Georgetown University and creative writing at Southampton College
in New York. I interned in Washington, DC before "intern" earned
a more salacious connotation. Most recently, I studied Czech language,
literature, and culture at Charles University in Prague, the oldest
university in central Europe.
My writing has featured in numerous publications, including Skyscraper magazine, Make magazine, Pixelsurgeon, Open Sewer, Zmag.com, Creative Loafing, The Charlotte Post-Courier, The Korea Herald, The Korea Tribune, and Isosceles, a small poetry journal.
I have lived in three countries on
three continents.
