ValuCompass
I worked with MISC and the software as a service (SaaS) company ValuCompass to improve the information architecture, usability and UI of their business valuation and growth tool, providing user research and analysis, as well as UX design work and guidance. I provided detailed heuristic analysis of the site and developed detailed wireframes based on the company’s unique business needs to enable significant updates to the tool, helping to bring it to life and enabling it to grow into a much more visually-impactful and user-friendly experience.
The following original version of the dashboard for advisors provided with little in the way of an information hierarchy to understand how their clients’ businesses were performing.
We created the following new, much more visually-oriented approach to depicting a client’s progress. It received early praise from advisors, who could now see the potential their clients held graphically, along with weighted and prioritized key data points that indicate a business’s overall health, as well as how it has changed since the previous quarter. The new experience also provides clear indicators for what next steps the advisor should take with their client.
I conducted detailed discovery research on the project, providing in-depth heuristic analysis of the platform, as well as competitor and comparative analysis. I also interviewed key stakeholders to incorporate their feedback where possible on a tight timeline for the MVP launch of this updated product.

I created detailed wireframes for key screens on the platform that present high-value information and next steps in a much more visually appealing and instructive manner than the original version.
Additionally, I designed a new flow to help visualize the conversion of a prospect, as they completed the necessary steps for an advisor to make them a client and to visualize that within the experience.
